This program is designed to organize the process of reserving classrooms or meeting rooms in a multi-user environment. Basically, a single server (with the database) controls the reservations made by users. If a user tries to reserve a room at a time for which a reservation has already been made, the system will prevent this and notify the user.
Users and rooms are organized into 'areas', to simplify the interface (not having too much information on the screen) and also to logically separate them all, so users can only be allowed to create reservations in rooms in their own area. A user, however, can belong to as many areas as necessary.
